Alternatively, graphics can also be printed directly onto Foam board and Foamex, the preferred option for large posters as it gives a much better finish.
Foamex Product Description
FOAMEX – flexible and durable lightweight Foam board, ideal for interior wall mounting or can be simple free standing displays. It has a smooth matt finish and is available in a large range of colours, most popular being white. Foamex comes in a variety of thicknesses (1mm, 3mm, 5mm or 10mm)enabling it to be used as a backing for signage instead of a frame.
Images can also be printed directly onto Foamex in vivid, long-lasting colours. The main advantage of Foamex is its durability and weight. Foamex signs are waterproof and weather resistant although we wouldn’t suggest exterior mounting, lasting up to a year outdoors and up to 10 years indoors. The versatility of printing on Foamex lends itself to a large number of applications for advertising display, exhibition shell schemes, signage, retail POS and POP display and wall panels.
FOAM BOARD – a durable lightweight material for all indoor printing and mounting applications and media. It has a great surface and material to accept digital ink as well as full colour printing. Printing on foam board is widely used for all kinds of signage, menu boards and numerous industrial applications.
Budget standard foamex board is best suited for quick budget conscious short term applications. If a display board will require repeated handling and frequent transportation, the higher quality foam board is the preferred substrate because it is more rigid and dent resistant which helps keep the board in good condition.
